# PayerBeacon

> PayerBeacon helps independent medical practices compare payer contracts with payment reports, find underpaid claims, and organize recovery work.

## Overview

PayerBeacon gives billing teams one place to review payer price lists, check payment reports, compare payments with contract rates, and track follow-up. It accepts supported CSV, Excel, PDF, ERA/835, EOB, and clearinghouse files.

## What it does

- **Reviews payer price lists**: Turns supported CSV, Excel, and PDF files into service rates that a team can check.
- **Shows the source**: Each rate includes source details and a review signal so users can verify it before approval.
- **Finds underpayments**: Compares payments in ERA/835 and EOB reports with approved contract rates and shows the difference.
- **Protects sensitive data**: Files are isolated and scanned before processing. Common identifiers are removed from extracted text.
- **Tracks contracts**: Keeps contract versions, rate changes, renewal tasks, and supporting details together.
- **Supports recovery work**: Organizes the payment, contract rate, and evidence needed for payer follow-up.
- **Keeps work separated**: Each practice has its own workspace with role-based access and an activity record.

## Current security wording

Current rate extraction runs on PayerBeacon infrastructure. The public site does not claim a certification. Customers should review the current controls, subprocessors, and contract terms with their security and legal teams.
